    Goals / Remit

    The African Diaspora Youth Forum in Europe (ADYFE) is a platform of nearly 110 youth organizations of the African Diaspora present in 31 countries of the Council of Europe. One of ADYFE’s main purpose is Peace and Development in all its forms. This aims to operate through the Youth of the African Diaspora according to 3 pillars of action: Entrepreneurship, Employability and Civic Engagement.

    Since its inception in 2014, ADYFE has been one of the main interlocutors consulted on policies and high-level exchanges relating to the youth as a whole, and particularly, youth from the African Diaspora to the European Union and the African Union and their various institutions as well as many UN agencies.

    The work accomplished by ADYFE's Team members is 70% done on a voluntary basis.

    We are working towards changing this situation in a near future and develop our activities and have structural funds to be able to have a paid staff.

    The amount of 80000 euros received are the fundings received for the organisatin of the events. We do not make profits with what we receive.

    1. The Forum des Diasporas (France): Forum led by IPEMED (L’Institut de Prospective Economique du Monde Méditerranéen), the African diaspora forum represents the most important event dedicated to meetings and the sharing of experiences between members of the diaspora and economic and political decision-makers in France. It is based in Paris.

    2. ADEPT Platform- Africa-Europe Diaspora Development Platform : it is AISBL aiming to improve and enhance the capacity and impact of the African diaspora organisations that are involved in development activities in Africa’. The ADEPT aim is pursued through delivery of services to diaspora organisations and individuals in Europe and Africa. ADEPT will work and engage with 85 countries (28 EU countries, plus Switzerland and Norway, and 55 African countries).
