Communication activities
AE has set up the European Alzheimer's Alliance which is comprised of over 120 Members of the European Parliament with an interest in dementia. In 2014, the organisation adopted the Glasgow Declaration in which it calls for the development of a European Dementia Strategy and will be actively campaigning to gather signatures and support for its campaign of making dementia a European priority.
The association publishes the "Dementia in Europe" magazine three times a year in which it features interviews with European and national policy makers as well as updates on relevant policy developments.Other activities
Alzheimer Europe closely works together with the European Alzheimer's Alliance, a multi-party and multinational group of Members of the European Parliament. The member associations adopted the Glasgow Declaration at the association's Annual Meeting in October 2014 which constitutes the basis for the organisation's lobbying work. In particular, the organisation lobbies for the development of a European dementia strategy and the establishment of national Alzheimer plans and/or dementia strategies.

The list below only covers meetings held since November 2014 with commissioners, their cabinet members or directors-general at the European Commission; other lobby meetings with lower-level staff may have taken place, but the European Commission doesn't proactively publish information about these meetings. For more information about which commissioner is responsible for which portfolio, check out this link: https://commissioners.ec.europa.eu/index_en All information below comes from European Commission web pages.
1 July 2024: We have noted that some meetings are appearing in duplicate, ie. some meetings seem to be listed twice. This seems to be because the Commission changes some element of a meeting data after the meeting has first been listed, which causes LobbyFacts to register it as a new meeting. We are investigating further.
