ITC-AICE's activity is focused on spearheading technology innovation and design processes in the ceramic sector (market and consumer needs),through professionalised management of a qualified human team.ITC acts as a partner for ceramic companies, detecting their problems and searching for instruments for solving them.ITC will undertake actions might enhance company competitiveness in the international marketplace.

ITC works on ceramic processing, energy efficiency, and industry’s environmental impact minimisation,functionalisation of ceramic surfaces, new technical performance and aesthetic features of products related to the habitat hyper-sector and other industries.Its activities include products and processes improvement,residues,greenhouse pollutants reduction,control systems development,energy saving plansMain EU files targeted
- SPIRE (Sustainable Process Industry through Resource and Energy efficiency ). This is a public-private partnership. A.SPIRE has transitioned to a new co-programming partnership Processes4Planet under Horizon Europe. ITC is members of several working groups: PWG1 Energy, PWG3 Industrial Symbiosis and PWG4 Resources and Circularity. ITC has contributed to the development the new roadmap for this PPP (Processes4Planet 2050 SRIA). On 23 June 2021 A.SPIRE and the European Commission signed a Memorandum of Understanding of the Processes4Planet Co-programmed Partnership to be implemented as part of the Horizon Europe programme for research and innovation together with 10 other co-programmed Partnerships

Glass BREF: Active participation at European level in the revision of the Glass BREF, together with the ANFFECC (Spanish national Association of ceramic frits, glazes and ceramic pigments producers), in order to propose BATs (Best Available Techniques) in the sector.
Ceramic BREF: ITC has participated in the elaboration of the CERAMIC BREF approved and published in 2007. ITC is member of the Technical Working Group for reviewing this document. They participated in the last technical working meeting for the review of the CER BREF in March 2022.Address
