Goals / Remit
Representing the entire Spanish white pork sector -production, industrial processing & marketing-, focused on carrying out activities to promote the sector and its products and support for sector internationalization and livestock production, sustainability, quality enhancement and technological innovation. Goals:
• Contribute to the economic development and cost effectiveness of the sector and support the internationalization process.
• Improve the perception of meat and products prepared from white pig by imparting to consumers and health professionals information about its nutritional properties, its healthy advantages and its high quality.
• Boost innovation and research applied to solving specific problems in the white pork sector.
• Potentiate the image of the pork sector as an example of sustainable production.
• Share the concerns in the sector throughout the entire value chain.Main EU files targeted
Interporc is currently following regulation from the European Council, European Parliament and the European Commission concerning: Agriculture, Public Health, Food Safety, Animal Welfare, Consumer Protection and Trade.
