Goals / Remit
Code for Romania designs, builds and maintains integrated digital ecosystems of social change through technology. Currently, we are spearheading an international initiative, Commit Global, which maintains and provides equal access to integrated digital infrastructure for civil society organisations and affected populations around the world. This global capacity supports 6 critical verticals: (1) humanitarian assistance, (2) civil society support, (3) democracy & transparency improvement, (4) vulnerable groups empowerment, (5) disaster relief management and (6) climate action. More details can found here https://www.commitglobal.org/en.
Main EU files targeted
We wish to meet with a member of the Commissioner's Group on A Europe Fit for the Digital Age. Among the priorities of this entity, we target the areas of digital skills (we have developed an integrated ecosystem meant to build capacity for CSOs) and humanitarian aid and affairs (we have developed the integrated digital infrastructure that currently address the humanitarian crisis triggered by the war in Ukraine and that is being redeployed in other parts of the world affected by man made or natural disasters). We also wish to meet with MEPs who hold relevant portfolios for our work.

The list below only covers meetings held since November 2014 with commissioners, their cabinet members or directors-general at the European Commission; other lobby meetings with lower-level staff may have taken place, but the European Commission doesn't proactively publish information about these meetings. For more information about which commissioner is responsible for which portfolio, check out this link: https://commissioners.ec.europa.eu/index_en All information below comes from European Commission web pages.
1 July 2024: We have noted that some meetings are appearing in duplicate, ie. some meetings seem to be listed twice. This seems to be because the Commission changes some element of a meeting data after the meeting has first been listed, which causes LobbyFacts to register it as a new meeting. We are investigating further.
