The Foundation's goal is to empower citizens to understand and exercise their own personal and political power, so that they can effectively communicate about and build broad political support for efficient, effective and equitable measures to mitigate climate change, and contribute to achieving science-based climate goals. The main emphasis of our activities is on the national German and European level.

The implementation of "Carbon Fee and Dividend" also known as "Climate Income" on the German, European and Global level.

No lobbyists with EP accreditations

CCL has over 180,000 members globally. Typically between 5 and 10% might be active at any time. The vast majority of which are volunteers giving between 1 and 8 hours per month.

There are ~2,000 members in Europe. Active members are predominantly focussed on EU member state policy with about 50 members engaged in EU policy engagement.

The German CCL chapter has only 2 paid 25% position and approximately 100 active volunteers with varying time commitment between 5 and 40 hours per month.
