Nuovo Pignone is an historical Italian company operating since the middle of XIX century, today part of Baker Hughes Company. Baker Hughes is a technology company that operates in the energy sector, it develops and produces technologies for a cleaner, safer, and more efficient future. Baker Hughes operates in 120 countries in the world, has around 67.000 employees, of which 13.000 in EU, and it is listed on NYSE.
Nuovo Pignone is global headquarter of the business Turbomachinery & Process Solutions, one of the four product companies of Baker Hughes, and it represents the center of excellence at a worldwide level for the development and production of compressors, turbines, pumps, valves and services related to this list. Turbomachinery & Process Solutions employs in EU around 6.000 workers in its plants in Italy (Florence, Massa, Bari, Talamona, Vibo Valentia, Casavatore, Naples), France (Fougerolles, Condè-sur-Noireau and Le Creusot) and in Norway (Kollsnes).
The R&D center of TPS is Florence based, with more than 1.200 engineers developing new technologies, as well as the iCenter, for the remote monitoring and diagnostics of more than 1400 machines Nuovo Pignone operating at customers' sites all over the world.
At the beginning of 2019, Baker Hughes has officially committed to achieve net-zero carbon equivalent emissions by 2050, and invest in new technologies to help customers reducing their emissions.
