Goals / Remit
Our mission is to assist in achieving a legal framework that is use friendly and ensures the continued attractiveness of the EU for the Crypto industry. We wish to think along and actively engage in order to achieve this mission objective. We are convinced that a legal framework can be achieved that is workable for the industry on the one hand and satisfies the concerns and needs of administrations on the other hand.

We have been hired by our client Coinbase, Inc. to work cooperate with Unit D2 and influence the EU law making process for the upcoming DAC8 law making process. More specifically, this includes public affairs and lobbying for aligning the future legislation with existing international CRS rules.

We have provided, on behalf of our client Coinbase, feedback on the "Tax fraud & evasion – strengthening rules on administrative cooperation and expanding the exchange of information" initiative and its Inception Impact Assessment that was launched by the European Commission on 20 December 2020. Further a meeting is proposed to be planned with Unit D2 (which we have already been in contact with, hence the entry in this register) in Q1, 2020 in order to discuss the Coinbase's and the industry's wishes on the proposed DAC 8 legislation.
