Goals / Remit
The Bothnian Corridor is a collaboration between the seven northernmost counties in Sweden, covering 70 percent of Sweden. The collaborations aims to improve the infrastructure in our region to improve the competivness of our businesses and people. This will support the economy of both Sweden and the EU.
The regions involved also believe in the importance of an common transport system within the EU and to our neighboring countries. The collaboration therefore are active in the TEN-T and CNC networks and activities.
Norrtåg AB is responsible for the regional passenger train system and also project manager for the collaboration.
Norrtåg are running European trains on Swedens most modern railway with the first version of ERTMS 3.6 being installed, after running earlier versions of ERTMS since 2011.Main EU files targeted
TEN-T ongoing revision for the next TEN–T regulation from 2023.
