    Der Bundesverband Digitalpublisher und Zeitungsverleger (BDZV) vertritt als Spitzenorganisation die Interessen der Zeitungsverlage und digitalen Publisher in Deutschland und auf EU-Ebene. Mit ihren Print- und Digitalausgaben erreichen die deutschen Zeitungen täglich mehr als 62 Millionen Menschen. Damit ist Deutschland der größte Zeitungsmarkt Europas und der fünftgrößte der Welt. Über seine zehn Landesverbände gehören dem BDZV 286 Tageszeitungen mit einer Gesamtauflage von 14,3 Millionen verkauften Exemplaren sowie 13 Wochenzeitungen mit knapp einer Million verkauften Exemplaren an. Die Zeitungsverlage bieten darüber hinaus mehr als 600 digitale journalistische Angebote und Marken im Internet an. Der BDZV hat auf die Transformation der Branche reagiert und sich breiter aufgestellt. In einem ersten Schritt sollen digitalen Tochterunternehmen und Beteiligungen der Zeitungsverlage ein neues Modell der Mitgliedschaft angeboten werden. Die Geschäftsstelle des BDZV hat ihren Sitz im Haus der Presse im historischen Zeitungsviertel in Berlin-Kreuzberg. Gegründet wurde der Verband 1954 als Bundesverband Deutscher Zeitungsverleger (BDZV).
