    Goals / Remit

Healthcare professionals do not have proper tools and resources to make use of data collected by patients. Thus they cannot deliver new value added and personalized services in the area of prevention, rehabilitation and wellbeing. Their patients are challenged by difficulties in adherence to a prescribed care or prevention plan. In order to help them, healthcare professionals need to see patient stories and have a possibility to intervene in real time. Furthermore, patients want to pay for measurable outcomes that they cannot achieve without changes in their behaviour.

Therefore, CareWave concentrates on a delivery of proper monitoring and evaluation tools that address these challenges. The process of anamnesis, diagnostics and prevention must be supported by objective quantitative data. However, according to a study by the Economist, doctors may be reluctant to use data collected by patients. Instead of measuring vital signs during a patient visit, they could find themselves being asked to examine huge data sets —raising the question of legal liability if something is missed. CareWave believes in solution of this problem by providing the doctors with intuitive data visualizations derived from processed patient data. During the process of data analysis, the latest knowledge from data science and healthcare is being applied.
