    Créé par le décret n°2006-1345 du 6 novembre 2006, pris pour application des Loi n° 2001-602 du 9 juillet 2001art. 59 et n°2005-157 du 23 février 2005 art. 96, le Conseil National de l’Expertise Foncière Agricole et Forestière (CNEFAF) est une structure de type ordinal regroupant l’intégralité des experts fonciers et agricoles et des experts forestiers.

    Seules les personnes inscrites sur la liste nationale, publiée par le Conseil National de l’Expertise Foncière, Agricole et Forestière, peuvent porter le titre d'Expert Foncier et Agricole et le titre d'Expert Forestier.

    Le Conseil national est chargé de représenté les experts auprès des pouvoirs publics.
