Consortium for European Building Control

The purpose of the Consortium of European Building Control is to serve as a platform for exchange of information and for the development of common strategies of its members concerning building control. This comprises issues with regard to construction works, construction products and all related fields of regulation, including legislation, standards and professions. In the course of its activities the CEBC pursues in particular the following aims and objectives:
• To promote the safety, convenience and sustainability of buildings through effective and proportionate building control,
• To liaise with and assist the European Commission, EFTA, and governmental, professional and private institutions of European Member States and any other countries on building control matters,
• To assist in the compliance with EU legislation which affects the process of construction and the construction industry,
