On 31 August 2017, Dow and DuPont formed a new merged company known as DowDuPont. At that time, DowDupont Inc. became the parent entity of The Dow Chemical Company and E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Company, which remained as corporate groups. As initially announced, the intention was to subsequently split into three independent, publically traded companies focused on Materials Science (Dow), Agriculture (Corteva) and Specialty Products (DuPont).
On 1 April 2019, the new Dow became independent. On 1 June 2019 Corteva and the new DuPont also became independent companies.
During 2018, Dow and DuPont retained their existing, separate company processes and compliance programs. To reflect this situation, both Dow and DuPont retained separate Transparency Register entries for their respective activities for the 2018 reporting period.
For the 2018 reporting period, the Dow and DuPont entries each account for parts of future Corteva Agriscience’s reportable activities.
Following the creation on June 1, 2019, of Corteva Agriscience as a completely independent company, a separate registration was made to reflect the new status. It is expected that the other independent companies created as a result of the de-mergers will update their registrations to reflect the new situation. The financial information in this new Corteva entry in the Register is based on estimates of relevant activity in 2018 of the Agriculture Division of DowDuPont.Person in charge of EU relations
