    Goals / Remit

Delivery Hero SE looks to engage with European policy makers and other stakeholders in debates evolving around the regulation of the digital services sector, the future of work, kickstarting European economies in a post Covid-19 world, sustainable last mile transport and logistics, the future of delivery, creating European Tech champions and many more. As the leading local delivery platform and DAX-30 listed company we are a thought leader in tech regulatory affairs and seek to exchange with other experts in the respective fields.

    Main EU files targeted

Delivery Hero is fully aligned with the Commission's Vision of “Shaping Europe’s Digital Future” and we aim to be part of this process. As the globally leading online platform for local delivery with a deep tech background we seek to engage in various EU legislative proposals.
In the centerpiece lies the Digital Services Act package. Delivery Hero is an important stakeholders in all of the fields that the DSA taps into and, hence, aims to provide input regarding the Digital Services Act. We also carefully look at the initiative Single Market – new complementary tool to strengthen competition enforcement that aims to make competition rules fit for the digital age and we believe we can provide expertise in this field.
The initiative to determine if additional EU-policy is needed to clarify that the self-employed gig economy workers’ collective bargaining rights don’t clash with antitrust rules that prohibit individual traders from coordinating is also of relevance to us and we are looking to exchange with policy makers regarding that.
The initiative to improve labor conditions for platform workers which is planned for 2021 is also one we will seek to engage in. We've gathered vast experiences from operating globally with platform work and would like to shed light on best practices.
Other proposals of interest include the Farm to Fork strategy as part of the EU Green Deal, a global or EU agreement on a digital tax, customer and data protection issues or sustainability in last-mile transport issues.
Finally, as a European Tech company we want to support the process of developing a European Data Strategy and would like to contribute to this process.
