    Other financial info

Variations from previous registrations are explained by the following factors:
    1. Increased EU regulatory activity requiring stepped-up engagement
    2. A change in the overall mix and number of association memberships
    3. Variations in consultancy contracts
In cases of doubt regarding the level of reportable expenditure, the highest possible figure has been reported even though this may result in a certain overstatement of Transparency Register-related activity.

Since 31 August 2017, Dow and DuPont form a new merged company known as DowDuPont. Since then, DowDupont Inc. is the parent entity of The Dow Chemical Company and E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Company, which remain as corporate groups. As initially announced, the intention is to subsequently spin into three independent, publically traded companies focused on Materials Science, Agriculture and Specialty Products (see www.dow-dupont.com for further details).
Pending these spins, Dow and DuPont retain their existing, separate company processes and compliance programs. To reflect this situation, both Dow and DuPont currently retain separate Transparency Register entries for their respective activities.
