Goals / Remit
The Dublin West Education Centre is one of 21 full-time education centres throughout Ireland which provides support for teachers and others involved in education through the provision of courses, workshops, initiatives and projects. The Dublin West Education Centre is responsible for the management of the Professional Development Service for Teachers (PDST) and the National Induction Programme for Teachers (NIPT). These are Department of Education national support programmes for teachers. The aim of PDST is to provide high quality professional development opportunities and support that empowers teachers and schools to provide the best possible education for a pupils/students. The aim of NIPT is to support the professional growth of teachers during the induction phase.
