    Goals / Remit

    DuckDuckGo is an Internet privacy company that empowers users to seamlessly take control of their personal information online, without any trade-offs. With our roots as the search engine that doesn’t track users, we’ve expanded what we do to protect people no matter where the Internet takes them. This includes a private mobile browser and an extension for the most popular browsers that blocks hidden trackers and forces sites to use an encrypted connection when available.

    Main EU files targeted

    We focus on policy initiatives related to privacy and competition:
    - Implementation of the Commission's Android Decision (case number 40099);
    - Digital Services Act (DSA) or Digital Markets Act (DMA), in particular the ex-ante regulation of online gatekeepers;
    - New Competition Tool;
    - Privacy provisions of the DSA and ePrivacy Regulation.
