    Goals / Remit

    The EEA, originally created in 1852, is an Alliance of more than 50 European grassroots national and transnational evangelical movements from all Protestant traditions present in 36 European countries. The EEA serves as a platform for common action and a voice for Europe’s 20 million Evangelicals. The Brussels office of the EEA promotes active citizenship of its constituency and represents it to the European Institutions.

    Communication activities

    Our communication channels include our website and a newsletter sent to selected members of our constituency. The European Evangelical Alliance organises regular consultation events, conferences and meetings of various kinds throughout Europe. Our Brussels office also organises events and hearings including training events, featuring officials, experts, key figures of the European Institutions as well as esteemed members of our constituency.

    Other activities

    The main tasks of the European Evangelical Alliance's Brussels Representative include monitoring decision-making and political trends within the European Union, developing an evangelical Christian approach to a set of issues and being the voice of Europe’s 15 million evangelical Christians. The Brussels Representative also provides opportunities for individuals and organisations to be heard, learn or collaborate on pan-European issues with relevance for the European Union. His work includes significant relationship-building with officials and representatives of various movements, religious or non-religious, in Brussels and beyond. Issues include religious freedom and secularity, international development, migration and human trafficking, awareness-raising on environmental issues, non-discrimination, as well as cultural and religious diversity.
