    Goals / Remit

In 2017, The Joint European Disruptive Initiative proposed the foundation of an agency for disruptive innovation in order to bring back Europe on par in the development of emerging technologies with the USA and China – with a radical new method based on high speed, risks, and returns.

JEDI represents both Europe’s civil society and its Deeptech-Ecosystem. We already unite 3500 leaders from technology corporations, start-ups, venture capitalists universities and research institutions in 15 European countries.

JEDI has developed 60 concrete Technology Challenges, identified 15 dedicated Program Managers, and follows an innovation model completely new to Europe on basis of the successful DARPA methodology.

    Main EU files targeted

JEDI is scaling up to be the European Union's disruptive innovation accelerator, and positively influence EU policy on emerging technologies.

The list below only covers meetings held since November 2014 with commissioners, their cabinet members or directors-general at the European Commission; other lobby meetings with lower-level staff may have taken place, but the European Commission doesn't proactively publish information about these meetings. For more information about which commissioner is responsible for which portfolio, check out this link: https://commissioners.ec.europa.eu/index_en All information below comes from European Commission web pages.

1 July 2024: We have noted that some meetings are appearing in duplicate, ie. some meetings seem to be listed twice. This seems to be because the Commission changes some element of a meeting data after the meeting has first been listed, which causes LobbyFacts to register it as a new meeting. We are investigating further.
