    Goals / Remit

Our core purpose is to help improve our democratic systems by promoting the best usage of technologies ("Tech for Democracy"), with a specific focus on electoral processes which are at the core of democratic life. We aim to achieve it through three main strategies:
    1) Create a large cross-border community of engaged and committed citizens, and enable them to debate, assess and promote concrete solutions and usages.
    2) Catalyze concrete projects connecting communities and institutions with existing solutions, ensuring traction and visibility to feed the general debate.
    3) Spur research and development on new or enhanced solutions based on feedback from the community. In particular, we share our open-source solution Electis.app, using state-of-the-art cryptography and verifiability.

    Main EU files targeted

We aim to contribute to the implementation of the European Democracy action plan, promoting democratic engagement and active participation beyond elections (2.4) and the Compendium for e-voting practices of the European Commission.
