Goals / Remit
The European Association of National Metrology Institutes (EURAMET) is a Regional Metrology Organisation (RMO) of Europe. It coordinates the cooperation of National Metrology Institutes (NMI) of Europe in fields like research in metrology, traceability of measurements to the SI units, international recognition of national measurement standards and related Calibration and Measurement Capabilities (CMC) of its members. Through Knowledge Transfer and cooperation among its members EURAMET facilitates the development of the national metrology infrastructures.

V. received EU funds for implementation of the Metrology Partnership in accordance with the Contribution Agreement; 14,3 M€ to cover the pre-financing payments for call 2021 was received on 29th November 2022. EURAMET e. V. received EU funds for implementation of European Metrology Programme for Innovation and Research (EMPIR) in accordance with the Transfer of Funds Agreements; 4,75 M€ to cover the final payments for call 2019 was received on 29th November 2022 and 20.25 M€ for interim payment for call 2020 was received on 29th November 2022. The 384 575,29 € not used for call 2016 related costs have been paid back to the commission on 20th July 2022.
In 2023, EURAMET e. V. expects to receive approximately 28,15 M€ from the EU to implement the Metrology Partnership and EMPIR.
