    Communication activities

Eurocarers signed a partnership agreement with the EC (DG EMPL) in 2018 under the EaSI programme. A new proposal has been submitted under the ESF+ programme for the period 2022-2025.
Eurocarers' action programme builds on four overarching objectives defined in cooperation with EC services, which are:
    1) Support to the development, implementation and monitoring of the major EU initiatives relevant to the objectives of the EaSI Programme, in particular, the promotion of social inclusion and poverty reduction in the EU. Mainstreaming of different aspects of these matters in EU and national policies.
    2) Support stakeholder involvement in the policy process: Support to our national and regional member organisations – and all other relevant stakeholders - in their involvement in the implementation, at national level, of major political EU driven processes.
    3) Disseminate information and transfer knowledge on EU policies and policies to both specialised and general audiences through a variety of communications means.
    4) Providing data and strong evidence base on policy developments and trends, as well as collection of relevant information about citizens' concerns and good practices (using the knowledge bank) in the social policy field in the Member States, so as to contribute to better policy making.

    Other activities

Since January 2014, Eurocarers receive financial support from the European Commission (DG EMPL) through the EU Programme for Employment and Social Investment (EaSI). Eurocarers also participates is several EU-funded research projects under the FP7 and Horizon 2020 programmes.

Since 2008, Eurocarers also coordinates the work of an Interest Group on Carers in the European Parliament. As part of its activities at EU and national level, Eurocarers aims to connect the dots between these different work strands and ensure the interest of informal carers is taken into account in the policy-making process.
