    Goals / Remit

    ECPA is a non-profit Association representing Members in discussions on EU regulation impacting the use and / or users of payment cards or similar payment instruments, including measures intended to promote the creation of a single European market for card payments (SEPA for Cards). ECPA Membership includes card schemes whose brand is currently used only within the European Economic Area (EEA) such as : Bancontact Payconiq Company (BE), Borica (BG), Groupement des Cartes Bancaires "CB" (FR), Nets - Dankort (DK), SIBS MB (PT), Sistema de Tarjetas y Medios de Pago (STMP) (ES) and Vipps - BankAxept (NO). Other members are organisations which manage essential functions such as type approval only within the European Economic Area (EEA) such as UK Finance, Betaalvereniging Nederland (Dutch Payments Association) and the Pan-Nordic Card Association. ECPA Business Associate Members include BKM/TROY (TU) and NSPK/MIR (RU)
