    Goals / Remit

    The purpose of the non-profit Association is to represent the interests of its Members in discussions concerning EU regulation impacting the use and / or users of payment cards or similar payment instruments, including measures intended to promote the creation of a single European market for card payments (SEPA for Cards).

    Membership of the Association includes :

    - card schemes whose brand is currently used only within the European Economic Area (EEA) and which are commonly known as "domestic card schemes" such as :

    Bancontact-MisterCash (BE), Cartes Bancaires "CB" (FR), Consorzio BANCOMAT (I),EURO 6000 (ES), LINK (UK), Nets Demark / Dankort (DK), ServiRed (ES), SIBS Pagamentos (PT), and Sistema 4B (ES)

    - organisations which manage essential functions such as type approval only within the European Economic Area (EEA) such as the UK Cards Association and the Dutch Payments Association
