The European Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ECCK) runs one HORIZON 2020 project focusing on GNSS; as from 2016 a second project focusing on ICT will be added to our service portfolio. Initatitives are also supported activitely, eg the ECOAP in November 2015 in Seoul. Beside that the ECCK organizes highlight events such as a safety conference (December 2014), the EU Research & Innovation Day (March 2015), IPR Conference with participation of OHIM (October 2015), a GNSS conference with the participation of GSA (November 2015). Publication of political importance is the position paper or white book which was published in September 2015 and will be distributed to stake-holders within October 2015.

    Other activities

The European Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ECCK) is not dealing only with trade and other business regulatory issues (like tax or customs). The interest is to be also active in other areas such as CSR where we see a huge potential to demonstrate that European companies do more in Korea what is publicly perceived. The ECCK participated in the EU-Korea Civil Society Forum in 2013 and 2015 (both in held in Seoul) as observer. The wish is to be more engaged and to become member of the EU Domestic Advisory Group. The Chamber consider itself but also is considered by European business as an important intermediary between Korean Government, European business and EU Delegation.
