Groups (European Parliament)
ECOPNET also aims to particularly reach partners in the EU candidate countries, thus, the following initiatives are significant for the NGO:
Friends of Turkey (Turkey Forum) in the European Parliament
EU Turkey Friendship Group and other active friendship groups for Balkan Region and Central Asia.Other activities
The intergroups of the European Parliament hold great importance for ECOPNET as they are in line with the Working and Research Groups of the organisation, and participation in these align with the objectives of the NGO.
ECOPNET is a Brussels-based organisation, however, the aim is to create an effective network of partnerships from all over the world, especially the Candidate countries of the EU. Thus, the delegations are a remarkable part of ECOPNET's portfolio and focus areas. ECOPNET also wishes to promote European integration and neighborhood policies and strategies and therefore both intergroups and unofficial groupings are considerable contact points for the NGO.Meetings
