    Goals / Remit

    The European Demolition Association, EDA, is a non-profit organization bringing together the activities of demolition, decontamination and recycling.

    Founded in 1978, EDA is the leading platform for national associations and specilized companies (contractors, enginers and manufacturers) related to these activities.

    EDA has a strong focus on developments in Europe, which are of interest to the demolition industry and other related activities. The objectives and aims of the Association are the following:

    - To look after, promote and protect the intrests of the demolition industry and other related activities in Europe
    - To set and promote standands on demolition techniques and promote recycling of demolition materials
    - To be involved in improving the legislation concerning the removal, depositing and recycling of demolition waste
    - To exchange information on techniques, working methods and training for specialists

    Main EU files targeted

    All the outstanding topics concerning the demolition industry and related activities that can have influence in the activity. Currently, EDA is taking part actively in the High Level Forum of Construction and Circular Economy working groups.
