    Goals / Remit

European Educational Exchanges – Youth for Understanding (EEE-YFU) is the umbrella organisation for the European YFU organisations and aims at implementing the European dimension of YFU’s activities. The aim of YFU is to provide young people with exceptional learning and growth opportunities both for their own educational benefit and to enable them to break the barriers separating nations, cultures and beliefs.
EEE-YFU contributes to this aim by enhancing students’ exchanges within Europe and by strengthening and fostering collaboration among the YFU network in Europe.
In short our activities aim to:
    • promote intercultural exchange programmes in Europe,
    • enhance the visibility of Youth For Understanding in Europe and with European governments, institutions and organisations,
    • enrich the experience of international students during their European stay in particular by facilitating specific educational and content related activities carried out by YFU organizations for YFU programme participants in Europe,
    • assist with planning and conducting of international training measures for YFU staff and volunteers carried out by YFU organisations in Europe.
