L’expertise judiciaire et sa place dans notre société moderne sont au centre des préoccupations et de la réflexion de l’Institut européen de l’expertise et de l’expert. Créé en octobre 2006, l’Institut Européen de l’Expertise et de l’Expert s’est fixé pour objectifs d’améliorer la qualité de l'expertise de justice et d’harmoniser sa pratique en Europe afin de favoriser l'exercice effectif des droits et de renforcer la confiance des justiciables dans le règlement de leurs litiges. À cette fin, l’EEEI constitue un lieu d'échanges et de travail collaboratif entre des magistrats, avocats, experts et universitaires européens, débouchant sur des réalisations concrètes de projets soutenus par la Commission européenne.
