Three members of the EFFRA team interact with representatives of the European Commission and, to a lesser extent, representatives of other European institutions.
EFFRA is in contact with, and works closely with, European Commissions staff because EFFRA is the official representative of the private side in the European Union's 'Factories of the Future' public-private partnership. The public side is represented by the European Commission (DG Research & DG Connect).

EFFRA undertakes activities to promote the EU's 'Factories of the Future' public-private partnership, pre-competitive trans-European collaboration between industry, research and academia and also promotes the activities of 'Factories of the Future' projects across Europe.
