Goals / Remit
EFIP is a non-for-profit collaboration of national associations from across Europe which represent over 11 million independent professionals at EU level through targeted research, advocacy and campaigning.
Our mission is to promote the value of independents (also called freelancers or self-employed) in European policies and business environments and to ensure that genuine independent working is respected as a legitimate alternative to employment, in both the private and public sectors.
EFIP has four aims:
-Visibility: to raise awareness of independent professional life as a vital part of the European labour market;
-Value: to provide expertise and better understanding to decision makers of the value independents bring to the European economy and society;
-Resources: to promote high standards, share knowledge and good practices of value to independents and kick start joint European projects;
-Policy: to provide a conduit for policy matters with EU institutions, advocating for regulations that specifically consider the unique needs of independents.
