    Goals / Remit

    E.I.P.G. is a European association representing the national, professional organizations of pharmacists employed in the pharmaceutical or allied industries of the Member States of the European Union, the European Economic Area, or European countries having a mutual recognition agreement with the European Union on compliance control of regulated medicines.

    Main EU files targeted

    EIPG provides regular feedback to draft legislation and consultation documents issued by the European Commission, as well as feedback on guidelines, concept papers and reflection papers issued by the European Medicines Agency.

    EIPG keeps constant focus on the EC and EMA acts and examples of topics of interest are as follows:

    - Reform of the EU pharmaceutical legislation (26 April 2023)
    - Eudralex-GMP-Annex 1 (August 2023)
    - Guidelines on Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) specific for Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (November 2017)
    - Questions and Answers Document - Regulation (EU) 536/2014 (December 2023)

    All officers exercise their duties on the premises of their home national organization (free of charge)

    Communication activities

    The Association’s professional activities include participation in European projects, promulgation and publication of Codes and Guidelines, maintaining a website and other communication vehicles for its members, commenting on draft directives and guidelines published by European institutions such as the European Commission and the European Medicines Agency, arranging working group meetings, and organization of any events enabling the Association to achieve its aims.
