    Goals / Remit

    ETSI is one of the 3 European Standards Organizations recognized by the EU.
    It produces ICT standards and specifications for the digital economy, including (but not limited to) mobile communications, Internet of Things, Intelligent Transport Systems, e-ID, Security and cybersecurity, Accessibility.
    ETSI standards support EU policy and legislation, and are also implemented worldwide.

    ETSI is one of the 3 standards organizations recognized by EU. It is funded at 80% by members and partners contribution and receives funding from the European Commission in the form of an Operating Grant and Action Grants.
    ETSI is active in policy areas such as radio standardization, mobile communications, quantum and post-quantum security, cyber-security, interoperability, trusted services (e-IDAS), cybersecurity, Internet of Things.
    ETSI is also actively contributing to the in the definition and implementation of the ICT-RP (Rolling Plan) of the European Commission.

    ETSI works closely with the European Commission (standards in support of policy/legislation and regulation)
    ETSI has interaction with policy makers (EC/EP/Council) on all those files.
