    Goals / Remit

    ETSI is one of the 3 European Standards Organizations recognized by the EU.
    It produces ICT standards and specifications for the digital economy, including (but not limited to) mobile communications, Internet of Things, Security and cybersecurity, Accessibility. ETSI standards support EU policy and legislation, and are also implemented worldwide.

    EU policy on European Standardization as defined in EU Regulation 1025/2012.

    ETSI is one of the 3 standards organizations recognized by EU. It is funded at 80% by members and partners contribution and receives funding from the European Commission.
    ETSI is active in policy areas such as radio standards, security, interoperability, trusted services (e-IDAS), cybersecurity, mobile payments, Internet of Things. ETSI is also actively contributing to the in the definition and implementation of the ICT-RP (Rolling Plan) of the European Commission.

    ETSI has interaction with policy makers (EC/EP/Council) on all those files.
