    FNADE is a professional association representing French private waste management and is a major actor within the circular economy. It brings together 223 private companies with 47,886 employees in France, spread over 2,068 industrial plants. It is a member of the European Federation of Waste Management and Environmental Services (FEAD). 2018 key figures: € 9.1 billion in revenue - € 768 million worth of investments.

    With its 8 professional unions, it gathers all the actors and activities of waste management and soil remediation: collection, transport, sorting, pre-treatment, recycling, organic and energy recovery, disposal of all types of waste (non hazardous and hazardous waste, sewage, soil) except for radioactive waste.
    These steps are conducted in line with the European waste hierarchy that sets a framework for waste management to minimize impact on the environment. This diversity of activities represented by FNADE is a real wealth in the global vision of waste management.

    FEAD is the European Federation representing the European waste management industry. FEAD’s members are national waste management associations covering 20 European countries. They have an approximate 60% share in the household waste market and handle more than 75% of industrial and commercial waste in Europe. Their combined annual turnover is approximately € 54 billion.

    FEAD represents about 3000 companies with activities in all forms of waste management. These companies employ over 295000 people who operate around 1800 recycling and sorting centres, 1100 composting sites, 260 waste-to-energy plants and 1100 controlled landfills. They play an important role in the determination of the best environmental option for waste management issues
