The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode gathers the most prestigious Designer’s and Haute Couture Houses from all over the world. It comprises one hundred ten highly selected members, who are first and foremost all driven by creativity and savoir-faire as key values. It organizes the Paris Fashion Week and Haute Couture Week and, in the context of the health crisis that arose early 2020, it created Paris Fashion Week online and Haute Couture Week online.

As a professional organization, FHCM is much involved in public affairs for creative and luxury fashion industries and regularly contributed to public consultations, notably in the competition and sustainability area.

It also brings numerous services to its members (legal, social, innovation, sustainability, education…). It also acts as a think tank on key current topics such as digital transformation, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, inclusion and diversity, and the role of creative industries in innovation policies. It has developed a specific approach for sustainability, digital transformation, education and training.

To deepen and foster sustainability policies in general, FHCM has developed an internal expertise and set up a work group including the best experts in the Industry and Houses, and a board of academic advisers. It has created an eco-design and impact assessment tool for fashion events, and another tool for helping brands in ecodesigning their collections and assessing the environmental and social impact of their industrial value chainat a season level. It actively participates in experimenting on environmental labeling, is a voting member in the Technical Secretariat of the PEF Apparel & Footwear. It has also tackled different works and projects in traceability and recycling.
