    Goals / Remit

    The Fresenius Global Union Alliance was formed strengthen global solidarity, to advance the opportunities for all Fresenius workers to gain representation by a union of their choosing and to assist each other in the effort to protect and raise standards for Fresenius workers.
    The Global Alliance further wants the company to respect its social, environmental, and ethical obligations including refraining from tax avoidance and aggressive tax planning and legislative and regulatory manipulations. Additionally we don’t countenance any illegal behaviour and expect full protection for whistleblowers. It is important to Fresenius workers to work for a company that is leading by exemplary behaviour in all subsidiaries, in all countries.

    One of the main policies targeted is a legally binding Due Diligence Act, which holds international corporations accountable. An initiative for a supply chain law/due diligence act is overdue. A company that operates globally must also assume global responsibility for not only it's European headquarters but also for all of its international subsidiaries.
