Goals / Remit
The Friends of the Countryside network is a non-profit association founded in 1998,and grouping more than 600 private property owners and entrepreneurs in the 27 EU Member States and beyond. Not only does it allow eminent persons to express their support for rural private property and its various functions, but also
to establish a network of decision-makers, entrepreneurs and rural property owners.This network of "family business network” aims to defend the role of rural private property on a European scale.
Friends of the Countryside promotes the holistic economic, social and environmental management of the countryside,
Supporting private business and rural property throughout the European Union and its adherent members.

Supporting private business and rural property throughout the European Union and its adherent members.
It is our belief that the future of Europe’s countryside is dependent on the individual management decisions of its millions of entrepreneurs and private landowners. The future depends on a strong relationship between them and the public authorities. Friends of the Countryside participated to a series of publications (a book in 2009-2010 available upon request) available on the website and upon request.Meetings
