Goals / Remit
GCA: represents the interests of members & textile industry as such before the governmental authorites, European institutionsand other organisations; approach the authorities, EU institutions & other organisations with initiatives connected with the interest of textile sector; acts as the co-operation & consultation point for all the issues pertaining to turnover, processing, laboratory testing and settling disputes considering cotton and other fibres as well as ready-made goods and semi-products made thereof; actively participates in the process of creation and developement of the sustainable economy; support Polish entrepreneurs in their activities on the EU & foreign markets; define and disseminate the principles of ethic and good practices in bussiness; initiates, promotes and supports the initiatives for technical, technological and sustainable development in textile industry; promotes the development & improvement of turnover & processing of cotton & cotton-like raw materials.

Communication activities
Each year we organise the event directed to the problems of the sustainable development in textile industry.
For instance in May 2022 GCA organise the open conference (hybrid) Natural Fibres – the Future of Sustainable Economy;
in September 2022 GCA was the leader organiser of the CLOTECH 2022 Conference: Innovative Materials, Technologies and Testing Techniques for Clothing Improvement.
June 2023 GCA will organise conference "Cotton & other Natural Fibres - Sustainable Development of Textile Sector
October 2023 - organisation of the International Flax Conference in Poland
GCA is involved in the promotional campaign World Cotton Day each year from 2009.
We are active and foundation member of the DNFI (Discover Natural Fibres Initiative)
GCA promotes the "0-waste" economy and sustainable development through our seminars, trainings and campaignes as well as in our publications and on our webpage.
Our publications: weekly Newsletter and quarterly issued Bulletin are focused on the information from textile markets, EU legislation initiatives, sustanability and environmental-friendly development.
