    Goals / Remit

    G5+ promotes equality between women and men in order to help bring about gender justice in the European Union and beyond. It pursues these goals through studies, projects, conferences,etc. G5+ is set to work together with the European institutions. Its members have a wide range of knowledge about gender issues.

    Main EU files targeted

    G5+ was launching a study on women's participation in the European institution after the European Elections 2019
    in 2020 our work programme includes parity democracy, mainstreaming gender equality, beijing+25 and women and climate change and the gender impact of Covid pandemic in the EU .

    -en 2022 : etude sur la réglementation de UE et Egalité de genre pour un rapport à EIGE

    Other activities

    The organisation was established in April 2011. We are working to increase the number of women in European Institutions. In particular, we produced a research/policy paper on parity democracy and developed recommendations on specific policies promoting gender equality for the European Parliament to consider.

    We also offer specific expertise on gender in the EU Treaties, gender and the environment, sexual harassment and GE policies in general to national and European institutions.
    We also produced a film on Eliane Vogel Polsky , champion of equality in Europe which is screened publicly together with debates on the european gender equality policy
