    Goals / Remit

Gypsum Recycling International A/S is an award winning pioneer in the business of recycling gypsum waste in Europe.
The goal of Gypsum Recycling International A/S is to convert gypsum waste into a valuable recycled gypsum raw material useable in the gypsum consuming industries, like the plasterboard plants, where it can replace virgin gypsum raw materials. Presently app. 3 million tons of gypsum waste is landfilled across Europe, depsite the fact that all of this waste could be recycled and turned into a valuable gypsum raw material.
In 2020 70% of all construction and demolition waste in the EU must be recovered/recycled. It is the target of our company to help realise this for gypsum waste, especially as gypsum waste landfilled can create problems at the landfills (sulphat leachate, hydrogen sulphide gasses etc.).
The recycling solution helps solve an environmental problem at the landfills, at the same time as scarce natural ressources are spared. In addition for every ton of gypsum waste recycled, the environment is saved from 0,2 tons of CO2 (equivalent) emissions.
