    INEOS is a global chemical company. Our products touch every aspect of modern day life. We comprise 36 businesses with 194 sites in 29 countries throughout the world.

    Main EU files targeted

    All energy and climate policy related initiatives are continuously followed at INEOS. This concerns inter alia relevant EU legislation, roadmaps, impact assessments and responses to consultations regarding carbon, energy, water, waste, resources, plastics, virgin, recycled and renewable sources, as framed in the European 2030 and 2050 strategies. This is in addition to core areas for the chemical industry, such as SHE and REACH; as well as any policy with impact on chemical industry strategies, competition and global level playing fields. INEOS mainly works through its associations at European and member state level.

As active members of Cefic, PlasticsEurope and other sector federations and industry partnerships, positions and responses to EU consultations are made in conjunction with our trade associations; supporting answers and publications can be found on cefic.eu, plasticseurope.org, suschem.org, etc. INEOS also partners in European innovation projects tackling environmental and societal grand challenges. All granted H2020, ERA, LIFE, etc. projects with INEOS as partner can be found on the Cordis website and, if tagged as sustainable process industry or processes for planet projects, also on the ASPIRE website.
