    Goals / Remit

Light for the World is a global disability and development organisation. Our vision is an inclusive society where no one is left behind. We enable eye health services and empower people with disabilities in some of the poorest regions of the world. We break down barriers to unlock the potential in all of us.

    Our ultimate goals are:
Eye health: everyone has access to quality eye health
Education: all children with disabilities receive a quality, inclusive education
Economic empowerment: all adults with disabilities have access to decent work.

We want people with disabilites to realise their rights and their potential. We address roots causes of poverty and inequality through systemic interventions, ground in international human rights.

We work with partners because we cannot do it alone. Our focus countries include: Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mozambique, South Sudan and Uganda.
