MAIN THEMES OF THE WORK:
Habitat for Humanity seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness around the world, and make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action.
Alongside homeowner families, Habitat builds and rehabilitates homes through volunteer labour and donations of money and materials.
Habitat’s Housing and Sustainable Development in Europe and Central Asia: water and sanitation, energy efficiency, advocacy and housing rights, housing micro finance, skills training and financial literacy, housing of vulnerable groups (Roma).
In Africa we are engaged in Orphans and Vulnerable Groups Housing, advocacy, community development, slum upgrading, skills training and housing microfinance.
Habitat’s response to disasters: Habitat offers expertise in technical information; program design and implementation; and disaster response policies, protocols and procedures, provides support and informational resources for disaster risk reduction.Main EU files targeted
