    Goals / Remit

NGVA Europe, the Natural & bio Gas Vehicle Association, is the only European stakeholder representing the NGV (Natural Gas Vehicle) related industry; including suppliers and distributors of natural gas and biomethane, manufacturers of OEM vehicles and components used in vehicles and filling stations, as well as NGV related national Associations and other NGV supporters. Its mission is to make the European Institutions aware of the positions taken by the Association’s members, as well as to provide reliable information on the market development. NGVA Europe also actively participates in developing and promoting new European standards and regulations related to the NGV industry. Natural gas of fossil origin, as well as biomethane from renewable sources, is today the cleanest available alternative to the traditional fossil fuels and immediately available in large volume.

    Communication activities

NGVA Europe participates as partner at the EU financed project "LNG Blue Corridors"

    Other activities

Our main objective is promoting the advantage of NG (Natural Gas)/Biomethane as a vehicle fuel due to less tailpipe emissions (such as NOx, CO2 and particulates). The CO2 and air quality debate, as well as energy use of biomass and other feedstock material, such as landfill, sewage sludge, manure, etc. (biomethane production) in transport have the highest priority in our agenda.
