    Goals / Remit

    Nordic Folkecenter for Renewable Energy is a non-profit, independent, organisation that provides research, development of technology, training and information for manufacturing, industrial innovation and implementation of renewable energy technologies and energy savings in Denmark and throughout the world. Folkecenter intends to achieve measurable increases in the utilisation of renewable energy technologies. The ultimate long term purpose is a complete replacement of fossil fuels & atomic power with renewable energies. Folkecenter works on three major fronts:
    1-Development and implementation of renewable energy systems and energy policy recommendations.
    2-Support and consultancy to manufacturers, local citizen/consumer groups, and relevant initiators within renewable energy.
    3-Information and training in renewable energy in Denmark and elsewhere to trainees, concerned citizen groups, SME and political decision-makers

    The grant was awarded for a project under the KA220-ADU call. Being project leader, Folkecenter received 80% of the full amount, which will have to be distributed among the project partners. The actual grant for Folkecenter is 64089 €. The project runs up to January 2024

    Current Financial year:
    The grant was awarded for a project under the HORIZON-CL6-2022-GOVERNANCE-01. Folkecenter is a partner in the project and will be granted 160125 € during the 4 years period of the project. Although awarded, the grant has not yet been distributed to the partners and it is expected in the coming months

    Folkecenter is currently under a team restructuring, meaning that there is no-one following actively EU discussions. We expect that to change in the coming months
