Communication activities
In February 2019, Novartis supported an event on " Europe’s Competitiveness and Innovation: The Role of Knowledge and Human Capital" organised during a plenary session of the European Parliament in Strasbourg. The debate aimed at discussing ways to boost European competitiveness, specifically in the pharmaceutical industry, and the importance of the industry for the local economy. The event included representatives of the European Parliament, academia, local government and Novartis. Issues discussed were the ways EU institutions can ensure training of workers, the diversity of industries in Europe, the EU regulatory framework, industry investment in the EU.
Other activities
At European level, Novartis is committed to working in partnership with the institutions of the European Union to support policies and actions that foster positive patient outcomes.
Knut Mager, a Novartis associate, is representing EFPIA in the multi-stakeholder expert group to support the application of a Regulation (EU) 2016/679.- Meetings
