Od Tatier k Schumanu (From Tatra to Schuman)

'Od Tatier k Schumanu' – "From Tatra Mountains to Schuman"; from Slovakia (and the Czech Republic) to Brussels - aims to unite all who made that journey and decided to pursue a career in EU affairs. The association's mission is to contribute to a stronger a better informed Slovak/Czech community in Brussels through debates and thereby contribute to better representation of those Member States in the EU institutions. 'Od Tatier k Schumanu' is the only independent platform offering EU policy debates in the Slovak language. The project is the brainchild of young Slovak and Czech professionals in Brussels who wanted to create an inclusive place for debate, networking and sharing experiences. 'Od Tatier k Schumanu' strengthens relations within the Slovak-Czech professional community through networking events offering accessible and quality discussions with inspirational personalities.

'Od Tatier k Schumanu' organises panel debates on a wide variety of topics on an ad-hoc basis depending on the availability of Slovak/Czech speakers in Brussels. 'Od Tatier k Schumanu' follows major EU developments and horizontal legislative files, such as the: Multiannual Financial Framework 2021-2027, Brexit, Horizon 2020, Digital Single Market, New Skills Agenda for Europe, European Interoperability Framework, Geo-Blocking, Europe 2020 Strategy, The Energy Union, European Neighbourhood Policy, EU enlargement and the Investment Plan for Europe.
