    Goals / Remit

    The Finnish Grocery Trade Association (FGTA) protects the interests of grocery trade and foodservice wholesales in industrial political decision-making. The FGTA's members' share of the Finnish retail market for groceries is approximately 96%.

    Through business policy initiatives, supply chain development, co-operation projects and services, the Association wants to improve and develop the overall operating conditions of the grocery trade in general and those of its members in particular.

    FGTA also develops common non-competitive operations models for the sector in order to enhance efficiency. The aim is that the grocery trade sector in Finland operates in a free competitive environment and is recognised as a responsible actor that serves the best interests of the consumer.

    The FGTA is a member association of the Finnish Commerce Federation.
