SAZKA Group a.s. is one of the largest consumer gaming holding companies in Europe. Its business is focused on lottery and sports betting. SAZKA Group a.s. is the sole owner of the Czech lottery company SAZKA and has significant shareholdings in the Greek lottery OPAP, LOTTOITALIA and Casinos Austria and Austrian Lotteries. SAZKA Group a.s. strives to bring innovation to the lottery and gaming industry; the vision is to continue expanding whilst adhering to responsible gaming principles, in particular by providing customers with entertainment and life-changing opportunities in a responsible, professional and efficient manner, while having a positive impact on the societies in which it operates. Communication activities
SAZKA Group a. s. is committed to a transparent and constructive dialogue with EU stakeholders, namely officials of the EU Institutions (European Commission, European Parliament, Council of the European Union), members of the European Parliament, representatives at the European Economic and Social Committee and Committee of the Regions as well as business stakeholders and civil society.
We generally follow EU and national legislation impacting the gaming and online betting industry. In particular we focus on national licensing procedures and compatibility with EU law, EU sports promotion initiatives and the fight against the manipulation of sports competitions; ad hoc EU policies in the field of data protection, fight against money laundering, digitalization of the economy, innovation, consumer protection, taxation and “better regulation / subsidiarity”. Also, we monitor EU action re commitment to society/CSR/support to culture, sport and education.Other activities
We interact with the EP Sports Group (which is not formally an intergroup) and participate in their events.
